Mt. Sopris Inn is located on fourteen acres, originally the home of a famed Aspen Ski Corp. president.
775 feet of the Crystal River flows at the base of a forty foot high bluff.
Gentle breezes whistle through the pine trees as you relax by the pool and outdoor jacuzzis.
You will be inspired by the magnificent panorama of the Crystal Valley to Mount Sopris, McClure Pass and Chair Mountain.
Arriving at the Inn, you park your car under the protective portico and enter the two-story lobby with its unique log-and-rail staircase, cathedral ceiling, and skylights. The floor-to-ceiling windows reveal the breathtaking beauty of Mt. Sopris and the Crystal Valley.
All guest rooms have TV, telephone, writing table or desk, private bath, use of all common areas, full gourmet breakfast.
Some rooms have a fireplace, some a jacuzzi, and most have a balcony with spectacular views.
Our two story lobby entrance features a unique log and rail staircase. Enjoy the Great Room with its 15-foot wide floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace. A large flagstone terrace is ideal for weddings.
A nature hiking path allows access to the Crystal River for the finest stream fishing anywhere.
When it's time for breakfast, you follow curving flagstone paths to the Main House where you are greeted with the aroma of fresh coffee. Walking past the open kitchen into the dining room, you sit at the long table in front of the glass doors leading to the flagstone terrace. Mt. Sopris stands proudly above the gentle valley demanding your attention. However, your gourmet breakfast is served, and you are soon enjoying stimulating conversation with guests from around the country and the world.
